Adventure Through Australia's Most Remarkable Wetland
The jewel in the crown of Melbourne’s birdwatching sites is the Western Treatment Plant, a 45 -minute drive from the CBD. Touted as the second -best birding site in Australia, over 280 species have been recorded here. Migratory waders, Sea-birds, Raptors, Woodland birds, you name it, it will most likely be here! From the iconic Brolga, the rare Black Falcon and seasonal visits from the Orange-bellied Parrot, the sky’s the limit!
Our tours start at 8.00am at the Western Treatment Plant, Gate 5, Paradise rd. We normally exit the plant around 3.00pm, but times are negotiable, some people simply don’t want to leave! Check out our scheduled tour dates below or book a tour of this remarkable place at any time that suits you.
If transport is an issue, we can arrange that too.
Cost for the all day tour is $325.00 per person, minimum of two people, small customised tours up to 7 people
