Des Palmer has been passionate about birds for as long as he can remember. His Father, Keith, an Englishman, instilled a love of birds in him from the very beginning and his passion has grown over the years from a hobby to founding a flourishing birdwatching tour business.

Des has his own birdwatching column in a local newspaper and is a regular speaker in his community on birds and wildlife for both local councils and nature groups. With a lifetime of birding experience across Australia, Des has birdwatched all over Australia and is on a personal mission to see every species in the country—an adventure he’s still joyfully pursuing and is delighted to share his knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise on his tours.
